Naveen-ul-Haq banned for 20 months from ILT20 due to violating of contract
The Afghanistan star fast bowler has been banned from the International League T20 for the 3rd season of ILT20 2025. On December 18, it’s decided by the ILT20 committee and CEO of this league that naveed-ul-haq has been banned from the ILT20 season 3. ILT20 2025 scheduled from 11 January t0 9 February 2025.
The reason to ban Naveed from the league is that he has not followed the contract rule with the Sharjah Warriors, and they approached the ILT20 committee about this issue. In the first season, he contracted with the Sharjah Warriors, and they want to extend the contract with the same terms and conditions to retain him, but he has not signed on it.
The Sharjah Warriors approached the legal committee. The committee of the 3 members, the Disciplinary Committee, and the Head of Security and Anti-Corruption, involved both parties and decided that Naveen is banned for 20 months.
The CEO of ILT20 said that we are happy with this decision, but it’s not a good act from a player, and we want to maintain our discipline, so that’s why we decided to do it.
